Tonight, I'm pleased to announce a new position in the BPSA as I welcomeEthan Jewettto the role of "Provost Commissioner."
The provost commissioner, a rotating position, will serve as a leader, mentor, teacher, and communicator to the commissioners corps. In their overall capacity, the PC will also be expected to reach out to all five regions and to help support and advance BPSA scouting throughout the US. They will likewise continue to lead their home region as its commissioner.
In appointing Ethan as the first provost commissioner, we've chosen someone who has been active in the BPSA for several years, overseeing membership and training and serving as a GSM in what is the US' most densely scouted BPSA region. Simply put, Ethan has a tremendous amount of knowledge, experience, and direct action at multiple levels. He's proven himself to be a good communicator, a good problem solver, and deeply creative. All in all, we are fortunate to have him.
