I hope everyone is working on the Ten Year Anniversary Award! We are finalizing a discussion about the recognition items for the award, but you can start working toward it immediately. It's a great way to support and celebrate the BPSA!

Looks good, thanks.  We're preparing our Otter raft plans for next year, and a lot of this lines up with what we already do.  It'll be a good way to teach our Otters about the organization!

Excellent! :)

Attached is a slightly updated version of the Ten Year Anniversary Award, including a patch image. :)

Good Morning Sue, How you can get the patches?

Hi Juan,

Patches are purchased by GSMs and Lone Scout leaders.

As explained in the instructions, those who complete the award present their paperwork to their GSM or LSl, and once verified, receive the award from them.

Ok, Thanks for the information. In scouting always.

Always! :)

Could a group QM order these, or does it have to be the GSM?

GSMs, Lone Scout leaders or designated QMs.

Sue posted the details on a new thread: http://bpsa-us.ning.com/forum/topics/how-to-obtain-the-ten-year-and...

I have two questions as a lone scout:
 1.  "The scout will complete one BPSA advancement (appropriate to their Section) during 2016."

Since I'm new-ish, does this include Tenderfoot?

EDIT: I just read Scott Moore's post on this one, so disregard.

2. Four nights of camping:

Again, would this be from the date I joined (Early September) or from the beginning of the calendar year? I've already racked up some nights since joining, just curious.

Anything you've done this year since joining would count, yes.

Here's a photo of the Ten Year Anniversary award and where it goes on your uniform in relation to the new BPSA Inclusive Scouting badge:
