"I am new to this whole thing, but my daughter has been an otter lone scout for almost a year now. I guess at this point I need to get more involved so she can progress in scouting. I may be interested in attending this Sept. but would like more…"

"Hi, James! Welcome to Base Camp.
When you get a chance, please post a little bit about yourself and your reasons for joining us in the Introductions topic in the Forum. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about the program…"
I'm 41 years old and have lived in Utah the majority of my life. I am a husband of 1 (which is odd in Utah, right?) and the father of 2. My Daughter, Ireland is interested in everything outdoors. I guess she gets that from me as my wife is not outdoorsy, My son loves video games,so I am trying to get him involved in scouting.
I studied Outdoor Recreation at SUU, while managing a outfitter shop and running canyoneering tours just outside Zion National Park.
I was very active in scouts as a teen, after getting my eagle, rebellion kicked in and to make along story short I'd love to assist the BPSA.
I love camping, hiking, canyoneering, bouldering and playing with ropes and knots, punk rock, folk and bluegrass.
What BPSA Scout Group do you belong to (if any)?
GSM for the 435th Mount Logan
Any previous Scouting background?
I received an Eagle scout at the age of 17 and was active in Order of the Arrow
Any specific skills or talents that you could help BPSA out with?

"No matter how you do it, making one of these goes a LONG way to showing prospective parents that we are a serious scouting organization. Set one of these up at a back-to-school event or picnic and have a signup sheet next to it. Then, afterward,…"
"We did not make the pride flag ourselves. It was loaned to us by my ex in-laws for this event. It is on a short pole for display on a house, so we lashed it to another pole to make up the height difference."
