Tell us a little bit about yourself:
I enjoy the outdoors in all its many manifestations and am very much an "old school" scouter. I am retired from state ( NC DOC) and Naval Reserve. FEMA trained CERT instructor, NRA instructor (pistol), Leave no Trace Trainer. Teach basic and advanced bushcraft and primative living skills, as well as great variety of dutch oven and other cast iron and primative cooking skills. blacksmithing, leathercraft, 1st aid, and several other areas.

from cub , boy scout, explorer, and sea scout 13+yrs), also adult leader 1975-present (41+yrs),have held many unit, and district positions, from asst den leader to dist. commissioner and council commodore for sea currently on dist committee/training committee. Wood Badge SR-56 (Fox)(old style traditional Wood Badge), Sea Badge, and Powder Horn advanced leader trained. scoutmaster fundamentals instructor, hold several scout leader training and service awards.
Any specific skills or talents that you could help BPSA out with?
have taught the following : bsa tenderfoot -1st class skills, venturing ranger skills, backpacking, hiking, camping, pioneering, wilderness survival,nature, fish and wildlife, canoeing, archery ,rifle and shotgun shooting, emergency preparedness,and several other merit badges. Hello All, Just wanted to say that we've survived Mathew, just got power back today, it was out since sat. night.  Hope all in areas where Mathew visited are well, and getting everything back to normal.  All that said, looks like we're now in for some great service opportunities around here.
