31st River Valley on Parade!!!

our rovers, pathfinders, timberwolves and the newest collection our otters gathered to participate in a local community parade on the 4th of july. it was a great opportunity to show the public the complete breadth of the bpsa offerings and we managed to do some outreach, lots of smiles and interest I hope we get a few new scouts.

We're small but busy...

David led us on an outing to show the local Beaver population in their natural habitat, we encouraged the youngsters to be careful in their observations and not to disturb the delicate environment. We collected a great deal of garbage cleaning the trail and general area of as much as was reachable without disturbing the beavers. More recently the group participated in the Sacramento area food drive, unloading the collected food from the vehicles (thanks to the mail carriers for picking it up…See More

California's fourth Rover Knight I am Akela, Assistant GSM and de facto RSL for the 31st River Valley Group... Brownsea trained, I have enjoyed tremendously working with my Timberwolves and watching them grow and become pathfinders, I'm so proud. I am happy to be a part of the traditional, inclusive, loving environment. I'm a former life scout, youth member of the OA and was hospital corpsman in the us navy.
