Are you a member of a current BPSA group? If so, which?
Hi! I am a brand new leader, with my co-leader Candi. I was a 5 year 5 year Girl Scout co-leader, then leader, and then also served on the Service Unit's exec board. I still absolutely love the GS and believe in their mission, but my vision changed when brothers wanted to start joining our GS troop. They didn't like the BSA policies of exclusion, so I decided to take a leap of faith and chartered a new unit. It has been working out wonderfully, even if I feel a bit overwhelmed. Not all the girls moved to our new unit but we still plan to stay in touch and do things together as "cousin scouts". I am told I am a people person but I think I tend to enjoy solitude in nature by myself with a small group of people. I look forward to all of the great things we can do being affiliated with the BPSA.
