Accomplished: first step toward DC-area BPSA group

Alrighty, I've just taken a big (to me) step towards getting a DC-area BPSA group up and running. I gathered the details from the Scout Finder of everyone within 40 miles of my house (in Falls Church, VA), and emailed them all an invitation to my house for Saturday, March 2nd (the Scout Finder made that very easy, by keeping the field's forms populated with the same info as I clicked on the different people). I'd like to help in some way.

As a kid my dad was kind of absent and one of the other dads ran a Webelos troop.  He kind of coerced me to come and join them.  I have to admit now, I really liked it.  We did all the stuff that got us ready to be Boy Scouts and I went on to become a pretty good Boy Scout.  I learned good things from him, not just knots and camping and crafts and cooperation and all the other things that we did together, but also I learned to care about other people, to not feel like I was different than…
