Ok, I know I just requested my charter for a Scout group herein Spokane only 5 days ago but I feel like a kid at Christmas.  It seems it will never get here!  I have set up a meeting with some interested families already and have been getting the info I need to pass on to them the awesomeness of the BPSA and Scouting in general.  The thing I am most excited about though is being a Scout myself!  I was never allowed to be a Scout because of some of the exclusiveness of the BSA that my dad and older brothers experienced so I was never allowed to join.  I have been a BSA Scout leader.  It is not the same thing as being a Scout.  One of the reasons I joined the Marine Corps was because they got to play the game of Scouting.  The Air Force did not do it so much.  I would say that that is the one thing I miss most about the Corps is the getting outside and Scouting.  I am not sure how long this will take to get the charter and other paperwork done but I think we are just going to jump in and start working on our adventures.  To start, I have 2 Rovers, 2 Pathfinders an a Timberwolf.  This is going to be a grand adventure!

Welcome aboard Joe! I am looking forward to having neighbor scouts to the east in "Spok-a-Vegas"as some friends call it.
